I caught my first fish when I was 4 years old, with my grandfather's fly rod. Ever since then, I have been
actively pursuing any fish that I can. Whether it is in the salt, or freshwater, I love them all. Growing up
in Michigan, I spent all my summers in the northwestern part of the state chasing smallmouth and
salmon. Having been on multiple television shows as well as my own YouTube web videos, I love
teaching to others what I have learned over the years, and I continue to learn every day, whether it's
from the fish, or the anglers themselves. I love hosting repeat customers that have become friends, and
new customers alike. Each customer is special, and I look forward to sharing our time together!
I love so many aspects of what Michigan's fisheries can offer. Casting for smallmouth bass, vertical
jigging for salmon and lake trout on the open waters, vertical jigging for walleyes, river fishing for
salmon and steelhead, ultra light panfish and perch fishing and last but not least there is amazing ice
fishing - there is so much to fish for utilizing so many different techniques, and so little time to do it all
in. We truly do have a 12 month fishery here in Michigan, and I am proud to enjoy it all. The two things
that I am most drawn to these days are bass fishing for big smallmouth bass and vertical jigging.
Formerly a Chef, it is my belief that on the water, as it is in a professional kitchen, details are
everything.
